Empties: Edit 1

A new year and a new post…finally!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that you are as excited about 2018 as I am!  I think this is going to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Lately I have really been trying to use up products in my stash instead of going out to buy something new (tough, I know).  Seeing as I love beauty and skincare products, I have a lot of to choose from. I also found several bits in 2017 that I really loved and was happy to use them all the way.  So today on the blog I thought I would share seven items that I used up completely in 2017.  Today I am sharing six skincare items and 1 haircare product.

boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil – This is my favorite oil cleanser. I use this as my first cleanse to remove eye and face makeup.  This is super gentle on my sensitive skin and really does get rid of all my makeup before my second cleanse. I have probably repurchased this item with times and will continue to buy!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum – This was definitely a new discovery for me in 2017 and really helped to change the texture of my skin.  I had little bumps under the skin that made it look uneven.  After about 6 weeks of using this product every night, my skin finally stated to smooth out.  As I have sensitive skin, this is too harsh for me to use every night long term, however I will definitely repurchase this product.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair – This is an oldie and a goodie for me. I have gone through about 4 bottles of this over the years and really do love my skin when I am using.  This is a pricey product but I would say worth the splurge.  I use this after cleansing and before my moisturizer at night.  It hydrates, evens, and smooths my skin.  I will continue to buy this product, especially as me and my skin get older. This is a great product for more mature skin, i find it does minimize the look of fine lines with regular use.

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid – This might be my favorite skincare buy of 2017!  I absolutely love this serum for daytime wear under my moisturizer and makeup.  I recently used this bottle up (it lasted a really long time) and went without it for a few weeks.  I immediately noticed my makeup was not wearing well and looked as though it was sitting on top of my skin.  I repurchased this and instantly my skin looked hydrated and my makeup wore beautifully. It’s a big statement but I think this will be a permanent resident in my skincare routine.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Protect + Repair Moisturizer – Another great discovery of 2017 was this moisturizer.  This has the most lovely scent, creamy texture and my skin loves it.  This was my daytime moisturizer for the majority of 2017. I love that my skin was hydrated, it didn’t break me out, and it helped even out my complexion.  I have already repurchased this and can’t wait to crack it out again!

it Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream – I have never really found an eye cream that I love that wasn’t too rich but still hydrated and smoothed out fine lines, until this.  I loved this eye cream and the product went a long way.  Definitely a good value for how long the product lasted.  I tap this around my orbital bone and it helped to lighten my dark circles, hydrated my skin and left my concealer looking good all day long.  I am currently using another eye cream from it Cosmetics, but would definitely repurchase this.

it’s a 10 Miracle Daily Conditioner – I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair. I am not brand loyal to a specific line of hair products but I do really enjoy the it’s a 10 line.  This conditioner does a good job of detangling without weighing my fine hair down.  I probably won’t repurchase this condition any time soon as I have recently fallen in love with the Keihl’s Amino Acid Conditioner.

Thanks for going through my trash with me! Maybe you found a new product to try! Let me know what you love, use up and repurchase!
