Beauty: SEPHORA VIB Sale

P4220005

Its that time of year again- a sale at SEPHORA! This sale occurs twice per year, once in the spring where SEPHORA offers 15% off and then again in the fall before the holidays which offers 20% off your entire purchase. I try to hold off on purchasing some of my staples for this time of year since most high-end beauty products rarely go on sale. This time around I picked up a few regulars and a couple of new bits. I made one purchase online and picked up some of the items in the store.

It was a bit difficult to not go hog wild as there have been some amazing launches this spring. However, I contained myself and picked up most;y items that I was out of and just a couple things I had been wanting to try. I picked up a range of skin care, face products, eye and lip bits.

I love Algenist skin care. When I saw this value kit I knew I need to pick it up. I use this eye cream regularly. This set came with the Complete Eye Renewal Balm, one of my favorites, the Gentle Rejuvinating Cleanser, and the Firming & Lifting Face Cream. This value set was $49.00- reduced from $65.00 plus 15% off! I thought it was a great value ($100) for money.

Keeping on the face product topic, I have been looking for a tinted sunscreen that would wear well under makeup as the weather is finally getting warmer. I read tons of reviews and settled on the Clarins UV Plus Sunscreen Multi-Protection Tint in light ($44.00). I’ve given this a go and absolutely love it! I didn’t get shiney, it wore wonderfully under my foundation and kept my skin protected all day on the Colorado Rockies Home Opener!

The next item was a bit of a splurge. I am almost out of my beloved NARS Laguna bronzer and was ready to give something new a try. This time last year Hourglass released their Ambient Lighting Bronzers ($50.00). I was hesitant to purchase as they looked so shimmery and I prefer a more matte/natural finish. However, after reading reviews I decided to give this a whirl and I love it. It imparts a beautiful glow that looks healthy, not shimmery. I ended up with the bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light.Hourglass Bronzer

Marc Jacobs had my eye next. Per Jaclyn Hill’s recommendations (she can seriously do no wrong) I new I needed the Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Sugar Sugar ($28.00). This is a beautiful nude shade with a light simmer running through it. It wears beautifully over lipstick and looks wonderful on its own. In addition, to the lipgloss, I was on my last leg of mascara and was very interested in their new launch. I snatched up the new Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara ($26.00). I haven’t tired it yet but will report back on how we get on!

Kat Von D Marc Jacobs

The last two items are staples in my beauty collection. First up was the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in in Trooper (19.00). This is my go to liquid liner and I was nearly out. I love this and will always continue to repurchase. Last up was Dior Addict Lip Glow ($33.00) in one of the new shades, 004 Coral. I love the original Lip Glow- it gives your lips a beautiful flushed look, feels great and really offers great moisture. I am really enjoying that they brought out two new shades, I am tempted to purchase the Violet shade as well.

I really love when I can pick up some of my favorite products at a discount! I will repot back on how I get on with the new things. What did you purchase, any new favorites?
