Everyday Makeup: March 2018

Happy weekend!

Today I want to share with you my everyday makeup routine and what I have been putting on my face. I get asked a lot what my go to makeup is. I love when friends and family ask for foundation recommendations or favorite bronzers; makeup is one of my favorite things to talk about! So if you’re interested in some of my current favorites please have a read below!

Base: I am not a huge primer person. I will occasionally use for an event or if I am going to be in makeup longer than normal. Some of my favorites are the Becca primers or the Dior Glow Luminizer. However, for everyday I go right in to my foundation after I’ve moisturized. My favorite foundation right now is the Fenty Beauty by Rhianna foundation. This was a recent add at the end of last year and it is my favorite foundation I’ve ever used. It is a natural satin finish, has really good lasting power, and actually keeps my skin looking like skin. It is amazing! I also love the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Makeup Forever HD, and I am dying to try the new Dior Diorskin Forever foundation.

Next is concealer.  I’ve spoken about this concealer in a pervious post linked here.  The Nars Soft Matte Complete concealer is the perfect concealer for both under the eyes and on blemishes.  Don’t let the matte name throw you off! It is really creamy, covers great, and does not settle or crease.  After base, I lightly powder the middle of my face and under my eyes with the Becca Soft Light blurring powder.  This is my favorite powder and doesn’t make my skin look flat.

My bronzer is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze.  I have recently hit pan on this which is a big deal considering how many bronzers i have in my collection.  My blush changes with the seasons, as I am extremely pale right now, I am loving the Dior Glow Awakening blush.  This works with you skin to give you the perfect flushed tone.  Finally for the face is highlight.  The on I am currently loving is new to my collection.  It is the RMS Beauty Magic Luminizer and it is phenomenal.  I usually don’t use cream products but this gives the most beautiful lit from within glow.  I tap it on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and just a bit on my cupids bow.

Eyes: Next on my eyes I always use the Nars Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Base.  This is the most amazing eye primer and will keep your eyeshadow on all day and keep it looking amazing.  Eyebrows come next and I have been using the same brow pencil for about 5 years (not the actual same one, you get it). My go-to is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe.  I fill in any gaps to make my brows a bit fuller.  Then on with a cult product, Glossier Boy Brow in Blonde.  This is the best brow gel, it adds color, fullness and gives brows that fluffy effect.  I am almost out of mine and need to put an order in ASAP!
For my eyeshadow, I keep it simple for everyday. I usually blend two colors together all over my lid and up through the crease.  Right now I dip my brush into Mac Gingersnap and Saddle.  I blend them all over my eyes and under my lash line- that’s it! Simple and quick.  Last step in mascara.  I am currently loving the Chanel le Volume mascara for my top lashes and my long time favorite, Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara for the bottom lashes. As for lips i mix it up, some of my favorites right now are the La Mer lip balm, the Makeup Forever Artist Rouge Lipstick, or the Nars Velvet Lip Glide.

And Voilà! My everyday makeup.  It might seem like a lot of steps but it takes me less than 10 minutes and I have really been enjoying it.  I’d love to know some of your go to products in the comments below.  Thanks for reading, I’d love if you’d subscribe!
