I somehow found myself in Sephora today- truly I have no idea how that happened. I had every intention of putting my head down, walking by, and pretending the beautiful black and white store didn’t exist. But, alas I came out with a few cheeky new items and an arm full of swatches. It seems I have trouble passing up on pretty lip products, because I came away with few beauts.
First was stop at the Marc Jacobs Beauty display. I’ve been dying to try the Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine lip glosses. There is a really wonderful color selection. I went back and forth on a pretty pink in Hot, Hot, Hot or a more natural nude. The nude won. I ended up with Sugar Sugar. It is a gorgeous champagne color with small gold flecks. With the warmer weather I’ve been reaching for gloss more often. Theses glosses have a slight minty sent, very pleasant but the don’t tingle or make your lips sting.
Next up was something I actually needed. I’ll be traveling a lot over the next few months and my favorite cleansing oil comes in travel size! boscia’s MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil is very gentle on my eyes and takes off all my eye makeup.Keeping on with the skin theme, I wanted to try out Clinic’s new Pep-Start eye cream. It claims to depuff, moisturize and get rid of dark circles! Lord knows I could use some help in all three of those departments. I’ll report back on how we get on. I also picked up the new Sweet Pot in 03 Pink Framboise. These little gems have a lip scrub on one side and a pretty gloss on the other! When swatched the colors were all sheer but will give the lips a nice tint. My only initial remark is that these glosses really have no scent. I think a light fruity sent would have been nice but I’m excited to give them a whirl.
My last item was a bit of a splurge, i.e. I definitely didn’t need it. Dior is one of my all time favorites for lips, face and mascara. When I was pursuing their new Spring 2016 collection this highlighting powder caught my eye. The Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder is quit stunning to look at. Dior’s website says this powder “simply leaves the face bathed in a lasting glow”. YES. PLEASE. I mean just look at it!
Thats all for now. Sephora 1, Kelly 0.
