Spring is here! The weather in Denver has been marvelous– 70s, sunshine, and a thunderstorm. I recently did a clean out of my wardrobe and finally parted ways with a few shoes that needed to go. Many of the heals that left were sky-high, you know the type. Ones we wore in our early twenties, in a too short dress, on a too cold night. Post clean-out I had a few gaps in my shoe collection. It was time for an update with a few pairs that were season appropriate and that fit my personal style. I find most of the clothing and accesories I purchase now fit both my work life and my personal life wardrobe. You will probably notice a theme- I love neutrals. All three pairs have integrated nicely into my wardrobe. Both pairs of heels were purchased at Nordstrom and the flat sandals at DSW.
The first pair I purchased was a classic, nude pump. I was missing a work appropriate nude heel. I ended up purchasing the Charles By Charles David “Pact” pump. The heel is slightly higher than I normally go for but I was pleasantly surprised by their comfort. I recently wore them to a black tie event and while my feet were sore by the end of the evening, I was in them for several hours and felt pretty good- I was even dancing by the end of the evening.
Next up, a new pair of flats. The gladiator sandal has been popular for several seasons but I hadn’t found a pair I loved. My mom and I were on a recent shopping adventure and founds ourselves in DSW. I spotted these adorable gladiators by Franco Sarto. I ended up with the army green color as I have nothing like this in my wardrobe. By the way, my mother ended up with three new pairs 🙂 These are comfortable and easy on with a zipper up the back!
Last up, this stacked heel, open toed, suede bootie. I had been lusting over these for quite a long time. I wanted something that was easy to transition between spring and summer. I love the suede and the stacked heel makes this pair very easy to walk in. I’ve paired them with both pants and skirts and they are gorgeous with both!
What’s your favorite spring shoe? I might be on the hunt for one more pair.
